We are delighted to share some thrilling news… Therapy4Kids has been honoured with the distinguished “Team of the Year” award at the Merton Business Awards 2023.
This recognition underscores our commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as exemplified by the official statement: “This award recognises a business that can demonstrate how their people have pulled together to propel the business forward, embodying the essence of teamwork. The team are a ‘stand out from the crowd’ group of employees that are able to collaborate, communicate and cooperate.”
From our Owner and Clinical Director, Michelle Jordan: “At Therapy4Kids, our team embodies this spirit of collaboration. SUNFLOWER LANYARD
Are you travelling with a child with autism, sensory integration difficulties, or any other hidden disabilities?
The sunflower lanyard is an amazing initiative by Heathrow, and is being used at most other UK airports now too.
Heathrow says, “Wearing a sunflower lanyard at Heathrow enables our colleagues to recognise that you have a hidden disability without you needing to declare it. This allows you to travel independently through the airport whilst knowing that if you need any additional support during your journey, any of our colleagues will be able to support. If you do find you are feeling any discomfort during your journey or would prefer extra assistance, head to one of our Assistance desks where one of our colleagues will be happy to help.”
For more information on how to order your Lanyard, head to this link:

Last night’s parent workshop run by Lucy who is an Occupational therapist, special needs yoga teacher and mum of two was a different style to our usual. It was a fantastic opportunity for parents to focus inwards to learn how they can affect their own reactivity and in so doing foster good relationships with their children, as well as heal the guilt so often felt by parents.
We discussed tools that can be used when you’re triggered, the science behind some breathing techniques, and the importance of having self compassion. We heard Lucy’s story, had the chance to think about our own personal journeys, and finished the evening off with a deeply relaxing sound bath.
Thank you Lucy!
