
Nicol
Nicol is an enthusiastic and passionate physiotherapist. She qualified at the University Of Cape Town in 2010 where she completed a BSc in Physiotherapy (Honours). She is an excellent team player and is dedicated to her work. Nicol specialises in neurological conditions and has worked with both adults and children with neuro-disabilities in the past. However, over the past 2 years, Nicol has chosen to specialise in paediatric physiotherapy. She has completed the Introduction to Bobath Course and the Elaine Owen Orthotics and Gait Analysis Course due to her passion for work and ensuring she is developing her skills. The courses Nicol has attended are a fundamental part of the management of her patients, she ensures to work closely with families, other health care professionals as well the rest of her team at Therapy4Kids.
Nicol is a member of the Health Care Professions Council, and the Chartered Society of physiotherapists.

Cara
Cara is an enthusiastic and dedicated physiotherapist who brings with her over 10 years of paediatric experience. Cara qualified in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) at the University of Cape Town. Since then she has been working with children predominantly and only had a small time treating adults in private practice. She has had the privilege of working at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town- the largest specialist children’s hospital in Southern Africa- for 4 years having been exposed to treating children with various neurological and medical conditions as well as trauma related injuries. Cara moved to the United Kingdom in 2007 where she worked for the NHS as a specialist physiotherapist in a community based service with her specialty being in developmental delay and neurological conditions. She happily joining Therapy4Kids at the end of 2014 where she has expanded more on her musculoskeletal treatment of children. Her qualifications include having completed a post graduate certificate in Advancing Paediatric Practice through Sheffield Hallam University. Other courses which she has attended include the 8 week Bobath foundation course in 2012, the Elaine Owen Paediatric gait analysis and orthotic management course, the kinesiotaping course, Makaton signing course and the DMO training for Lycra suit measuring and prescription. Cara also did dry needling and seating courses for postural management in South Africa.
Cara endeavours to make sessions fun and exciting for each child, whilst reaching their targets thereby increasing their functionality and participation in everyday life. Cara values having a holistic approach to each child and tries her best to provide them with a nurturing yet challenging environment in which to thrive. She respects the individuality of each child and values the involvement of the family in and outside of therapy.
Importantly, she believes in advancing her skills on a regular basis so as to keep providing professional and high quality care to her clients. Cara is a member of the Health Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
